Nature Walk – Walking with God in creation

Psalm 19:1 “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”

Prayer focus:

As we looked up at the blue sky, we thanked God for the air that we breathe, the beauty of the skies, and the changing seasons. We prayed for cleaner air in polluted areas of our world, and for those suffering from respiratory illnesses. In the silence as we paused, we breathed in and out slowly in gratitude for God's gift of life to us.

​Matthew 6:26 “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them.”

Prayer focus:

We listened to the birds, and watched the elegant swans as we said thank you God for the diversity of life in creation. We thanked God for our pets, and also prayed for endangered species and conservation efforts. We thought about how we could help care for local wildlife.

Micah 6:8 “Act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.”

Prayer focus:

As we walked together as a community of friends, we prayed for our churches, our communities, our neighbours and all those in need. We asked God how we can be a light on the earth and serve others, committing to an act of kindness in the following week.
