Eco Church:
Ambitions and Commitments

Page banner.png

Our Circuit affirms our Christian belief that caring for God's earth and loving our neighbour is part of our faith in action and we endeavour to embed this within our theology, management of our assets and land, and our mission.

Our Care for Creation commitments, which can downloaded on this website, will help us to take transformative action, by raising awareness, challenging the things we say and do, and to continually reflect and assess that our commitments are being embedded in our Circuit churches, manses, and office.

We also commit to encouraging our congregations and community users to create their own commitments.

Our Circuit is committed to the aims of the Methodist Church to become net zero by 2030 and we will actively encourage our churches to work towards becoming and being active as Eco Churches under the A Rocha UK Award scheme.
