I am a Local Preacher on Trial, a Circuit Steward and our Circuit Safeguarding Officer - for more information about Safeguarding in our Circuit, check out our dedicated Safeguarding page. I am a member of CLT and sit on its Worship, Communications and Community Connect Project subgroups. I also am part of the team, working on behalf of the Circuit, to house and support our Ukrainian refugee families.
I am a member of Lea Brook Methodist Church, where I am a Church Steward and our Eco Church Lead (we're working towards our bronze award).
I have a background in youth work, previously being a church and Circuit youth leader, Boys’ Brigade Officer and a leader in Girlguiding UK. Although no longer directly involved in youth work, I want to see our children and young people flourish in our churches and their voices heard. I have a passion for social justice, outreach and the Church being embedded in our communities, especially with those most in need. I am a Street Pastor in West Bromwich.
In my professional life I am a Project Manager, specialising in IT Project Management, and try to bring these skills to bear in my Church life. I want to see IT and technology better used to enhance our worship and wider church life, leading to better accessibility and embracing new styles of worship.
I am Black Country born and bred – and very proud of our shared history, heritage and community. I want our churches and our Circuit to thrive, to be of real service to our communities, and to open the door to allow people to encounter Christ. I believe that serving others and being love in action is what Christ calls us to do. I am a proud Methodist, proud of how we have a history of upholding and fighting for social justice, and putting our faith into action in our communities.
I love spending time with family and friends, watching live music, walking, and photography. I am a season ticket holder at West Bromwich Albion, having known the elation and misery of watching the Baggies for many years!
