This year it's even better!
Following on from the success of last year's Celebration Day, this year we will celebrate the wonderful work we do in our churches and across our Circuit on Saturday 21 June 2025 from 2pm to 7pm at Tipton Green Methodist Church (take a look at this page to find the venue).

The Circuit, and especially our churches that form it, does some really brilliant work. This our opportunity to share that with one another, to celebrate it and to show people all that we do to serve both God and our community. This year our theme is 'What Three Words?'... what three words best describe you and your Church, both now and in the future?

Your invitation...
Printed copies of your personal invitation to the Celebration Day are available in our churches. You can see this below or download a copy by clicking here.

What's happening on the day?

The day will feature displays from each church in the Circuit, highlighting their three words that describe themselves now and where they want to be in the future
Workshops and activities will run throughout the day, giving you plenty of chance to try something new or to learn about a different aspect of Circuit life. There will be competitions and fun activities over the course of the day. Children’s activities will be provided and a craft workshop will run throughout the day - drop in at any point.
There will be time and space for prayer, and plenty of time to sit and chat with friends from your church and across the Circuit. Refreshments will be available all afternoon and a free buffet tea will be provided at 6pm.
At 5pm we will join together as a Circuit family to celebrate in Worship. This will feature many of the items created and explored in the workshops during the day and will be led by Revd Rachel Parkinson, our District Chair.

Singing the Faith Workshop

The "new" Singing the Faith hymn book may have been used in many of the churches across the Circuit for a number of years since its launch in Autumn 2011, but there are still so many of the hymns and items included that we don't know or are not too familiar with.

Methodism was Born in Song, so come along to learn some new hymns and share in the fun. No musical talents are needed, just enthusiasm and a smile!
Craft Workshop

Join us for hands-on craft workshops where you can make beautiful air-dry clay decorative hangings, each one inspired by the Stations of a Methodist Way of Life and the three words chosen by our churches. As you shape and decorate, reflect on the values and locations that ground our shared faith.

You'll also be able to begin a cross-stitch kit during the session, again based around chosen words, which you can take home to complete at your own pace - perfect for quiet reflection or thoughtful gifting.

Explore our mixed media display full of creative suggestions for your church, home, or as a gift. Come and be inspired to make something meaningful... and fun!

All abilities or none, accompanied children welcome! The Workshop will run throughout the day, just drop in at any time.
Prayer Workshop

Come and explore some different, and perhaps new, ways of praying - or simply come and spend some quiet time. You can also help write and shape the prayers that will be used in our worship at the end of the day.
Children's Activities

Families and children are most welcome to take part in our children’s activities. We will have a dedicated children's area where there will be a range of craft activities. Have fun and enjoy being creative!

Adults must be present to supervise their children throughout the activity session they attend.
Live Link with Jerusalem

Revd David Hardman is a Methodist Minister based at the Methodist Liaison Office in Jerusalem (you can see more about their work on the Connexional website). This is your opportunity to find out more about the Church's work in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories (IOPT), and to ask David any questions about what it's like to live and to work on behalf of our Church in a war zone. No question is off the table - this is your chance to find out more.
Justice Conversation

We are a justice-seeking Church... and we fight against injustice in all its forms! Join us for a conversation about how this is put into practice in the lives of our churches and by us in our daily lives as Christians. One area where injustice is prevalent is in the plight of refugees and how they are treated once they get to our shores.
As we find ourselves in World Refugee Week, Revd Juliet Kisob's daughter will lead our thoughts in her role working with Jesuit Refugees as Destitution Services Manager.
Local Arrangement Workshop

Local Arrangements (LAs) are becoming more and more common in our churches as we struggle to fill appointments on the Preaching Plan each quarter. Come and learn more about what your church can do, ideas for worship, try our new ideas and to share experiences with one another.
Bible Conversation

This is not a bible study! This is a conversation about the Bible, how Scripture influences our lives and the lives of our churches, and how we can better tap into the what those 66 books reveal about God's love.
